Inside my living room

I've been MIA from my blog since - ah god knows - maybe months! I've been a busy busy bee, but i will not bore you with all that and treat my lovely readers (if you guys are still out there ha ha *hiding monkey face*) to a never seen before, mini shoot in my living room. I am a private person, which is kind of contradicting if your a (part time/missing in action ALOT) fashion blogger. But bare with me, I'm letting you in bit by bit. This little section below is my interview/style tip for Ark. I'm being a bit cheeky and sharing it on here a few days early.

My blog is for myself, sometimes I'm very active and i like to show off my outfits and other times i cringe inside and think people must think your so vain! haha it's kind of a love hate relationship for me. I am a huge picture collector so i do enjoy the process of setting the scene or creating an outfit in a laid flat. I think i caught that bug from my visual merchandising days at All Saints.

I think with my style, i definitely dress for myself. I've had many years to experiment with it. There were times - growing up - when my mam would say to me 'wear something normal today' ha ha or recently when my boyfriend said 'it's my own fault for enabling you all these years, not paying attention and just agreeing. Ha ha ha, it doesn't phase me now. If only i could tell young teenager Rachael to wear what you want, who cares.

Outfit 1 -
When i put an outfit together, i like to celebrate the seventies, whether I'm styling with a piece of vintage or using a piece with major seventies influences. Anything with bell sleeves is a winner in my book. I love this Kiss the sky dress, the embroidery design is such a dream. Paired with knee high fringe boots and a fedora. A fedora is definitely my go to accessory.

Outfit 2:
I have to admit, there is no such thing as a summer or winter wardrobe in my life. Knee high boots is a great excuse to wear a summer dress in this cold weather. My cool winter styling is to wear a long sleeve roll neck under a dress, it not only screams seventies but - its just good sense - to keep you warm. I've styled this cream Kiss the sky dress with platform boots and a festive sparkly floral headband. Love a little girly bohemian from time to time.

Outfit 3:
Yes - you've guessed it - more knee highs. A girl can never have enough colour shades of knee high boots. It completely transforms this summery looking playsuit into an essential Autumn/Winter piece. I think i go through phases where I'm completely obsessed with a certain item, i'll wear it to death, then slowly move on from it. I wear this outfit with my long camel coat over, incase you were wondering if i ever wear these outfits day to day. I love that orange/rust colour - for me - its the perfect colour for AW. I can't get away with wearing black outfits in the winter with my pale skin, it gets mistaken for halloween costumes to often. So yes to colour in the winter

Outfit 4:
Sometimes i really enjoy going a 'little to far' with creating a seventies look. Its my version of dressing up. Suede & corduroy button up skirts are the best! I'm wearing my with a vintage seventies blouse with the most amazing huge collar and a brown suede crochet waistcoat. i very rarely leave the headwear out the look, this is the newest to the collection. Very western with the silver details but feminine with the floppy shape. I will be styling this piece with a floaty maxi dress next.

  4. Nike Basketball is keeping things simple with the latest Nike Kobe 11 EM release, as a pristine White, Cool Grey, and Black combination helps the silhouette stand out atop an icy outsole. While the Kobe 11 will be known as the last Nike model ever worn LeBron 14 by the Black Mamba on-court before his retirement, Nike Basketball has managed to keep people interested with a number of recent colorways that pay homage to past releases ranging from the Mambacurial to the 4KB series. This White/Ice aesthetic manages to be KD 9 more of a team-centric release with the only pop of vibrancy being the four red stitches on the heel.Underlying Dynamic Flywire helps add support and subtly peeks through the engineered mesh and fuse upper in wolf grey for a slight contrast. The Kobe shoes real call to attention here is the hypnotizing icy outsole which pairs quite well with a simple white upper. What do you think of the latest Kobe 11 EM release? Check out more detailed shots below and know that you can grab LeBron 14 your pair on September 24th via Nike.com.
We’re only a month and a half out from the start of the NBA season, and there’s no question that the Golden State Warriors will be the premier team to watch throughout the entirety of kevin durant shoes those 82 games thanks to the addition of Kevin Durant. That doesn’t mean that reigning back-to-back MVP Steph Curry is taking a back seat on his own team though. One of the more interesting tidbits will be how Nike and Under Armour KD 6 coexist in the Bay Area, as two of the top stars on each brand now play for the same squad. UA is already prepping for the second half of the year too thanks to a detailed look at the upcoming UA Curry kobe bryant shoes
